Content Types

ScoutSocial supports the following Twitter/X content types for AI generation:

• Post - A single tweet, max 280 characters
• Thread - A numbered series of connected tweets telling a story

Tweets

Standard text tweets. Twitter allows up to 280 characters on the free tier. Premium/X Premium subscribers can post up to 4,000 characters, but ScoutSocial defaults to the 280-character limit to ensure compatibility.

Threads

Multi-tweet threads let you tell longer stories or share in-depth content. ScoutSocial composes and publishes your thread as a connected series of tweets, maintaining the reply chain automatically.

Image Tweets

Attach images to your tweets for visual impact.

Image requirements:

• Maximum file size: 5 MB
• Supported formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP
• Maximum dimensions: 4096 x 4096 pixels

Video Tweets

Attach video content to your tweets.

Video requirements:

• Maximum file size: 512 MB
• Supported formats: MP4, MOV
• Duration: 0.5 seconds to 2 minutes 20 seconds

GIF Tweets

Attach animated GIFs to your tweets.

GIF requirements:

• Maximum file size: 15 MB
• Supported format: GIF

Polls

Create interactive polls within tweets. Polls allow your audience to vote on options directly in the Twitter feed.
