Connecting LinkedIn

ScoutSocial uses LinkedIn's OAuth 2.0 authorization flow to securely connect your account. You will be redirected to LinkedIn to grant permissions, and then returned to ScoutSocial.

Connect a Personal Profile

1. Open the More menu (☰) at the bottom of the left sidebar, then click Settings
2. In Social Media Accounts, click the + Connect a social account button, choose LinkedIn in the picker, then choose Personal Profile in the account-type dialog
3. You will be redirected to LinkedIn's authorization page
4. Review the requested permissions and click Allow
5. You will be redirected back to ScoutSocial with your personal profile connected

Connect a Company Page

1. Click the + Connect a social account button in Social Media Accounts, choose LinkedIn, then choose Company Page in the account-type dialog. You can pick Company Page directly; connecting a personal profile first is optional, not required.
2. ScoutSocial will list the organization pages where you have posting permissions
3. Select the page you want to connect

You must hold one of these roles on the LinkedIn company page to post on its behalf:

• Administrator
• Content Administrator
• Direct Sponsored Content Poster

Revoking Access

To disconnect LinkedIn from ScoutSocial:

1. Open the More menu (☰) at the bottom of the left sidebar, click Settings, expand Social Media Accounts, and remove the connection, or
2. Visit LinkedIn Settings > Permitted Services and remove ScoutSocial from there

Either method will revoke access. If you revoke from LinkedIn directly, ScoutSocial will detect the disconnection on the next token refresh.
