Notifications
Configure how and when ScoutSocial sends you notifications about post publishing, content approvals, and platform activity.
Notifications
The Notifications section lets you control which events trigger notifications and how you receive them.
Accessing preferences
Open the More menu (☰) at the bottom of the left sidebar, click Settings, expand Workspace & Preferences, then open Notifications. Changes apply to your personal account and do not affect other team members.
Notification categories
ScoutSocial notifies you about workspace events, grouped into categories:
- Publishing - When a post fails to publish after all retries, a connected account needs reconnecting, or a platform error blocks a publish. Includes early warnings when a Facebook or Instagram token is about to expire.
- Content sources - When a starred content source publishes a new article.
- Comments & mentions - When someone @mentions you or replies to your comment.
- Approvals - When content needs your approval, or your submitted content is approved or rejected.
- Assignments - When someone assigns you to an idea.
- Due dates - A reminder before a due date, and when a due date changes.
- Team updates - When someone joins the team, your role changes, or an invitation is accepted.
Some categories require a higher plan (for example, Approvals and Due Dates are on Business plans, and Assignments and Mentions on Professional and above). Publishing and Content Source alerts are available on every plan.
Managing preferences
In-app notifications are always on. Each notification type has an Email toggle so you can also receive it by email. You can send yourself a test email to confirm delivery. Adjust your preferences to reduce noise and focus on the events that matter most to your workflow.
