Team Members

Invite team members to your ScoutSocial workspace, assign roles, and manage permissions for collaborative content management.

Team Members

The Team & Approvals section lets you invite colleagues to your ScoutSocial workspace so you can collaborate on content creation, review, and publishing.

Accessing the panel

Open the More menu (☰) at the bottom of the left sidebar, click Settings, then expand Team & Approvals. This feature requires the Team Members add-on on your subscription plan. If your plan does not include it, you will see a lock icon on the group header and an upgrade prompt instead of the full panel.

Inviting members

  1. Open Team & Approvals in Settings.
  2. Click the + Invite teammates button to open the invite dialog.
  3. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite (or switch to Bulk paste to add several at once).
  4. Choose the role you want to assign, and optionally add a personal note.
  5. Click Send invitation (or Send N invites on the bulk tab) to send it.

The invited person will receive an email with a link to join your workspace.

Roles and permissions

ScoutSocial uses organization-based access control. Roles determine what actions a team member can perform:

  • Admin - Full access to all settings, integrations, billing, and content management. Can invite and remove other members.
  • Member - Can create, edit, and schedule content. Cannot modify workspace settings or manage billing.

The number of team members you can invite depends on your plan's team members limit. Check your Plan & Usage page to see your current limit.

Members only see the connected social accounts that have been shared with them; admins see every connected account. You set each account's visibility to Members from Settings > Social Media Accounts. See Account visibility for teammates.

Removing members

To revoke a team member's access, find their entry in the team members list, open the overflow (...) menu on their row, and choose Suspend access. Their role changes to No access and they move into the Suspended access group, losing access to workspace content and settings. This is reversible: you can restore access later with the Reactivate control on their row.

Workspace isolation

Each ScoutSocial workspace is self-contained, team members only see content and accounts for their workspace. If you manage multiple brands, each can have its own workspace with its own team.
