Scouty - AI assistant
Use Scouty, the in-app ScoutSocial AI assistant, to ask questions about your workspace, analytics, and connected accounts in plain language.
What is Scouty?
Scouty is ScoutSocial's built-in AI assistant. You can chat with Scouty from inside the app to explore your data and get quick summaries-without digging through every chart first.
The assistant panel shows Scouty as the title and explains that it is your ScoutSocial AI assistant. A short notice reminds you that responses are AI-generated and may not always be accurate, so treat numbers and recommendations as guidance and verify anything critical.
How to open Scouty
Open the chat control from the app (typically the assistant entry point in the corner of the workspace). From there you can:
- Expand or collapse the panel using the resize control so it fits your workflow
- Clear the conversation with the trash icon when you want a fresh thread
- Close the panel with the close control when you are done
What you can ask
Scouty is designed for natural-language questions about ScoutSocial and the data in your workspace. For example, you can ask for:
- Performance summaries - impressions, engagement, or trends over a time range
- Breakdowns by account or platform - how each connected profile is performing
- Charts - Scouty can include simple visualizations (such as bar charts) when a numeric comparison makes the answer clearer
The exact answers depend on what data your organization has connected and which time range applies. If something is missing (for example, an account not connected), Scouty should reflect that in context.
Typing and sending messages
At the bottom of the panel:
- Type in the field labeled Type your message...
- Press Enter to send
- Press Shift+Enter to insert a new line without sending
Getting product help and documentation
The authoritative walkthroughs for ScoutSocial live in this help center. Use the sidebar, search, and guides such as Getting started, Features, and FAQ for step-by-step instructions, settings, and troubleshooting.
When you ask Scouty how to do something in ScoutSocial or request help with a feature, it searches the help center and links you directly to the most relevant article. So you can ask a how-to question in the chat and let Scouty point you to the right page, or browse the help center yourself. If you still need a hand, you can always ask support (Contact support) for guided help.
