Brainstorm

Brainstorm content ideas with your team on a shared canvas with real-time collaboration, comments, and access controls.

What is Brainstorm?

Brainstorm is a collaborative canvas where your team can plan content ideas, map out campaigns, and organize your social media strategy visually. It works like a digital whiteboard with drawing tools, sticky notes, and shapes that everyone on the team can contribute to.

How to access it

Navigate to Brainstorm in the left sidebar.

Key functionality

Board dashboard

When you open Brainstorm, you see a dashboard listing all your boards. From here you can:

  • Create a new board - Start a fresh canvas for a new brainstorming session or campaign
  • Open an existing board - Click any board to enter the canvas view
  • View board details - See who created each board and when

Canvas view

Once you open a board, the full canvas appears with drawing and content tools. Add ideas, arrange them visually, and build out your content plan.

The toolbar provides tools for adding and manipulating elements on the canvas. Navigate back to the dashboard at any time using the back button.

Comments panel

Open the comments panel from the canvas toolbar to leave and view comments on the board. Comments let your team discuss ideas, ask questions, or leave feedback without cluttering the canvas itself.

  • Comments are tied to the board, so they persist between sessions
  • Close the panel to focus on the canvas when you do not need it

Sharing and access control

Click the share button to open the share and access dialog.

From here you can:

  • Invite team members - Add collaborators to the board
  • Set permissions - Control who can edit vs. view
  • Manage members - See current collaborators and adjust their access
  • Board ownership - The board creator has owner-level permissions

Tips

  • Create separate boards for different campaigns or content themes to keep sessions organized.
  • Use the comments panel for async feedback, so team members in different time zones can review and respond at their convenience.
  • Start a session by having everyone add their ideas to the canvas, then organize and prioritize them together.
  • Share boards with view-only access when presenting plans to stakeholders who do not need to edit.
