Media Assets
Manage all your images, videos, and documents in a centralized asset library with upload, search, and usage tracking.
What is Media Assets?
Media Assets is a centralized repository for all the visual and document assets you use in your social media content. Instead of re-uploading files every time you create a post, you can store them once in Media Assets and attach them to any content piece.
How to access it
Open the More menu (☰) at the bottom of the left sidebar, then click Media Assets.
Key functionality
Browsing assets
Media Assets displays your assets in a visual grid. Each asset card shows a thumbnail preview, filename, file size, and how many times it has been used in content.
Uploading assets
Click the upload button to add new files from your device (images, videos, and documents), or drag and drop files onto the page.
Media type filtering
Use the type dropdown at the top to filter by asset type:
- All types - Show everything
- Images - Photos, graphics, and illustrations
- Videos - Video clips and animations
- Audio - Audio clips and sound files
- Documents - PDFs and other document files
Usage filtering
Filter assets by their usage status:
- Any usage - Show everything
- Used - Assets that have been attached to at least one content piece
- Unused - Assets that have not been used yet, helping you identify forgotten files
- Top Performing - Assets attached to your best-performing content
Sorting
Sort your assets using several criteria:
- Newest or oldest first
- Alphabetical by filename (A-Z)
- Most used
Search
Use the search bar to find assets by filename. This is helpful when your collection grows large and you need to locate a specific file quickly.
Asset actions
Each asset has a context menu with actions:
- Add to Draft - Attach the asset to a content draft
- Generate Content - Create AI content from the asset (images only)
- Edit - Open the image or video editor
- Move to Folder - Organize the asset into a folder
- Rename - Change the asset's filename
- Favorite - Mark the asset as a favorite for quick access
- Delete - Remove the asset from your collection
Preview and Download are available from the asset detail dialog, which opens when you click an asset.
Bulk operations
Enable selection mode to select multiple assets at once. With multiple assets selected, you can perform bulk delete to clean up your collection efficiently.
Pagination
Media Assets paginates results for performance. Navigation controls at the bottom let you move between pages.
Asset statistics
A stats overview shows the total number of assets, storage used, and breakdowns by type, giving you a quick sense of your collection's size and composition.
Tips
- Upload files to Media Assets before creating content so they are ready to attach when you need them.
- Use the "Unused" filter periodically to find and clean up assets that are no longer relevant.
- Sort by "Most Used" to see which assets resonate with your audience and consider creating similar visuals.
- Use descriptive filenames when uploading - this makes search more effective as your collection grows.
