Content Performance
Analyze post-level engagement metrics, performance scores, audience reach, and social comments across all your platforms.
What is Content Performance?
Content Performance provides detailed, post-level analytics for everything you have published through ScoutSocial. It shows how each piece of content performed in terms of engagement, reach, and audience interaction, helping you understand what works and refine your strategy over time.
How to access it
Content Performance is integrated into the Dashboard and My Posts. There is no separate Performance tab in the sidebar.
- Dashboard - Open the Post Performance panel to browse published content and key metrics. Add the tile from the dashboard layout picker if it is not visible.
- My Posts - On the Posted tab, expand a published item to see its inline metrics, or use the Analytics action on the row (the Comments action opens its social comments).
Key functionality
Post list view
The Dashboard's Post Performance panel displays published content with key metrics for each post.
You can:
- Filter by time range (last 7, 30, 60, or 90 days)
- Filter by connected account to focus on a specific platform or profile
- See at-a-glance metrics like impressions, engagement, clicks, and reactions
Post detail view
Click a content item in the Dashboard panel (or, in My Posts, expand a posted item or use its Analytics action) to see a detailed breakdown including:
- Full engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares, clicks, impressions)
- Performance trends over time
- Social comments on the post, loaded on demand
- Platform and account information
Performance scores
The Dashboard's Performance Score panel provides an overview of how your content is performing across connected platforms, helping you benchmark engagement over time.
Account filtering
Filter performance for specific connected social media accounts. This is useful when you manage multiple accounts on the same platform (e.g., a personal LinkedIn profile and a company page) and want to analyze them separately.
Social comments
For each published post, you can expand the comments section to view social media comments directly within ScoutSocial. Comments are loaded on demand to keep the page responsive.
Time range selection
Adjust the time range to control how far back the analytics go. Shorter windows (7 days) show recent performance, while longer windows (90 days) reveal trends and patterns over time.
Tips
- Review Content Performance weekly to identify your top-performing posts and understand what made them successful.
- Use the account filter when comparing performance across different platforms or profiles.
- Look at comments to gauge audience sentiment.
- Compare performance across different time ranges: a post might look average over 30 days but had a strong initial spike in the first 7 days.
- Use performance patterns to inform your content strategy in Create Posts and your scheduling decisions on the Dashboard.
