Smart Schedule

Use engagement-based posting times and heatmaps to schedule content when your audience is most active.

What is Smart Schedule?

Smart Schedule analyzes your historical posting data to suggest the best times to publish content on each platform. It presents results as an engagement heatmap and recommendations you can act on when scheduling.

How to access it

Smart Schedule is integrated into the app; there is no separate sidebar tab.

  • Dashboard - Open the Best Time to Post panel (add it from the dashboard layout picker if it is not visible). The heatmap shows predicted engagement by day and hour.
  • Create Posts - Click Schedule after generating content. The scheduling dialog suggests optimal times per platform and account.
  • My Posts - When scheduling a draft, suggested times are offered based on the same engagement data.

Key functionality

Engagement heatmap

On the Dashboard, the heatmap displays a grid of days (rows) and hours (columns). Each cell is colored by predicted engagement level. Darker cells indicate times when your audience is more likely to interact with your content.

  • The panel highlights the top recommended 2-hour windows as Schedule cards. Click Schedule on a card to open the Create Posts composer pre-filled with that platform, account, and time slot.
  • Each cell is shaded by its engagement score (darker means higher engagement); screen readers announce the exact score for that day and hour

Platform filter

Filter heatmap data for a specific platform or across all platforms. The heatmap recalculates based on the selected platform's posting history.

Timezone support

Times display in your local timezone, detected automatically from your browser. The heatmap itself has no timezone selector; the timezone selector appears in the scheduling dialog (My Posts or the Create Posts composer), not on the heatmap tile.

Recommendations

Below the heatmap, key findings about your best posting times help you plan your content calendar.

Category schedule

If you organize content into categories, recommended times can be broken down by content category. Category rules also apply when scheduling from My Posts.

Each recommended slot appears as a Schedule card above the heatmap. When you click Schedule, the app opens the Create Posts composer pre-filled with that time and account, where you:

  1. Compose or generate the content
  2. Confirm the date and time
  3. Schedule it

Tips

  • Add the Best Time to Post tile to your Dashboard if you schedule content often.
  • Compare patterns across platforms, since your LinkedIn audience may peak at different hours than your Twitter/X audience.
  • Use suggested times when scheduling from Create Posts rather than guessing manually.
  • If you target an international audience, keep in mind the heatmap shows times in your own auto-detected timezone when comparing peak hours across regions.
