Brand Tracker

Benchmark competitor brands, track their top content and growth, and turn what's working into AI-powered content ideas.

What is Brand Tracker?

Brand Tracker lets you follow competitor accounts ("brands") on your connected platforms and benchmark your own account against them. It surfaces who is growing, what content is winning, and what you can learn from it, all on one customizable dashboard.

Brand Tracker is a customizable tile dashboard (the same style as the main Dashboard), not a set of tabs. It focuses on competitor and brand benchmarking; its richest data (comment sentiment, AI briefs, and content ideas) comes from YouTube, while Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter/X are supported for leaderboards and recent posts.

How to access it

Click Brand Tracker in the left sidebar. It's available on the Professional plan and above (Professional includes 5 tracked brands/competitors, Business 25).

The top toolbar

Three controls sit in the top-right of the page:

  • Filters - set the time window: 7, 30, 60, or 90 days. Most tiles adapt their titles to the window (for example, "This Week's Posts" at 7 days). While a non-default window is active, the button switches to Reset.
  • Scope selector (the pill showing the current platform and brand count, e.g. "YouTube · 0 brands") - pick the platform, focus a single brand, or open Manage brands….
  • Customize (the gear) - enter edit mode to rearrange the dashboard, add widgets, apply templates, and manage saved layouts.

Setting up the brands you track

Everything on the page is driven by the brands you add.

  1. Open the scope selector in the top-right.
  2. Under Platform, choose one of your connected, brand-capable platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter/X). If you haven't connected one yet, the menu prompts you to "Connect a YouTube, Instagram, Facebook or X account in Settings → Social Media Accounts." (LinkedIn and TikTok aren't supported for brand tracking.)
  3. Click Manage brands… to open the Manage brands dialog (titled for the selected platform, e.g. Manage YouTube brands).
  4. Under Add a brand, enter a channel URL, @handle, or name, run the search, preview the match, and add it.
  5. Back in the scope selector, focus a single brand to point the per-brand tiles at just that account, or leave it unfocused to use your watched brands.

In the Manage brands dialog you can also pause/resume, edit notes on, refresh, or remove any tracked brand, and mark up to 3 brands per platform as watched: watched brands are the ones the per-brand tiles (Brief, Posts, Content Ideas, Sentiment) render. How many brands you can track in total depends on your plan (see Plan & Usage).

The dashboard tiles

The default layout includes six tiles:

  • Leaderboard - ranks the brands you track (and your own account) across followers/subscribers, posts, growth, and views, with a per-KPI switcher.
  • Insight of the Week - the single top auto-detected highlight across your tracked brands (a viral post, a growth mover, or a publishing leader). Click it to focus the related tiles. Needs 2+ tracked brands to compare.
  • This Week's Posts - the latest posts each watched brand published in the selected window, linking out to the originals.
  • This Week's Brief - for each watched brand: activity totals, an AI-written headline explaining what worked, and their top "winner" posts.
  • Content Ideas - AI-generated post ideas grounded in what's working for your tracked brands. Each idea has a Create post shortcut that carries it into Create Posts.
  • Comment Sentiment (YouTube only) - AI-classified sentiment (positive / neutral / negative) and recurring themes from the comments on a brand's top videos. Other platforms don't expose competitors' comments, so this tile is YouTube-specific.

Until you track brands, each tile shows a short empty state (for example, "No brands yet, add brands from 'Manage brands' in the scope menu").

Customizing the layout

Click the Customize gear to open the panel ("Switch layouts, tweak settings, and add widgets"). It has three sections:

  • Manage current layout - switch between saved layouts, auto-arrange the grid, and (for workspace admins) set an organization default.
  • Widgets - show or hide tiles; drag a hidden tile onto the grid or use its + button .
  • Templates - apply a built-in starting layout.

In edit mode each tile gets a drag handle and a per-tile menu, so you can drag, resize, hide, and show any tile. You can save multiple named layouts and share them with teammates, with owner/editor permissions. Changes save automatically.

Tips

  • Track a healthy mix of brands (aim for 2+) so the Leaderboard and Insight of the Week have something to compare.
  • Use watched brands deliberately, they drive the per-brand tiles, and the 3-per-platform cap keeps the page focused.
  • Turn winning competitor content into your own posts from the Content Ideas tile's Create post shortcut.
  • For competitive comment analysis, connect a YouTube account: it's the platform with full sentiment support.
