Dashboard
Your customizable analytics home in ScoutSocial, add, arrange, and resize widgets to build the view that fits your workflow.
What is the Dashboard?
The Dashboard is ScoutSocial's analytics home. It aggregates performance data from your connected accounts into a fully customizable canvas of widgets (tiles). You choose what to show, how large each panel is, and where it sits on the grid.
Open Dashboard from the left sidebar.
Unlike fixed report pages, the Dashboard is personal and flexible: marketers doing daily check-ins, content planners scheduling the week, and analysts running month-end reviews can each build a different layout.
Customizing your layout
Click the gear icon (Customize dashboard) in the top-right toolbar to open the customize panel.
From there you can:
- Add widgets - show hidden tiles or pin individual metrics from the catalog
- Hide widgets - remove tiles you do not need (except AI Credits, which always stays visible)
- Drag to reposition - grab a tile's handle and move it anywhere on the 12-column grid
- Resize - drag a tile's corner to change its width and height within allowed bounds
- Auto-arrange - let ScoutSocial reflow visible tiles into a clean grid when you prefer not to place them manually
- Apply a template - start from a curated layout (Default, Overview, Content planning, or Analytics)
- Save multiple layouts - create, rename, switch between, and delete personal dashboard layouts
Changes save automatically as you work. On mobile, use the same gear button to open a bottom sheet with the full customize experience.
Layout templates
Templates are one-click starting points. Applying a template rearranges visible widgets; hidden widgets stay available in the picker so you can add them back later.
| Template | Best for |
|---|---|
| Default | The full recommended mix: KPIs, score, calendar, posts, insights, and more |
| Overview | Daily check-ins: headline KPIs, performance score, best time to post, insights, top posts |
| Content planning | Deciding what to publish: KPIs, mini calendar, best time, insights |
| Analytics | Deep performance review: score, platform comparison, best/worst posts, insights |
Workspace admins can also set an organization default template so new teammates start from a shared baseline.
Available widgets
Widgets are grouped in the add panel. Your platform and plan may enable or hide some options.

Additional catalog metrics (engagement, reach, video, audience, conversion) can be added per platform when your connected accounts report them.
Filtering dashboard data
Use the filter controls in the dashboard header to scope what widgets show:
- Platform - Focus the dashboard on a single connected platform (then a specific account)
- Time range - 7, 30, 60, or 90 days
- Account - When multiple accounts exist on a platform, narrow to specific profiles or pages
Filter changes update metrics, charts, and insights across visible widgets immediately.
Alerts and refresh
Dashboard Alerts at the top surface important events: expired account tokens, failed publishes, or significant engagement drops.
Use Refresh to pull the latest metrics from connected platforms. ScoutSocial also refreshes post metrics automatically in the background.
Ask Scouty
Open Scouty from the chat widget and ask questions in plain language, for example, engagement by account or a quick performance summary. See Scouty - AI assistant.
Dashboard insights widgets do not consume AI Credits; only interactive generation features do.
Related features
These capabilities live on the Dashboard rather than as separate sidebar tabs:
- Insights - AI recommendations and health scores
- Smart Schedule - Best time to post heatmap
- Content Performance - Post-level metrics in the Post Performance widget
