My Posts

Manage content from inbox through draft, approval, scheduling, and publishing, with sources, bulk actions, and filtering.

What is My Posts?

My Posts is where your content moves through its lifecycle. It is organized into five tabs - Inbox, Draft, Approved, Scheduled, and Posted - so you can see everything from incoming ideas to published posts.

How to access it

Navigate to the My Posts page from the left sidebar. You can also open it after generating content from Create Posts.

Key functionality

The five tabs

Inbox

The Inbox collects articles and ideas from your connected sources (for example RSS feeds or web sources). From here you can:

  • Browse incoming items with previews
  • Select one or more items to turn into drafts
  • Choose target platforms and accounts when creating drafts
  • Sync or fetch the latest articles from your sources (see Manage Sources below)

Draft

The Draft tab lists content that is still being edited or reviewed. It includes pieces created from Create Posts, from the Inbox, or manually.

In Draft you can:

  • Edit text, platform, and account assignment
  • Configure evergreen reposting
  • Approve content when your workspace uses an approval step (approved items move to the Approved tab)
  • Schedule a post (pick date and time) or publish immediately

Approved

The Approved tab holds content that has passed review and is ready to schedule or post. Use it when your team uses approvals: reviewers finish in Draft, and approved work appears here before it is scheduled. From Approved you can assign a publish time, post now, or move items back for further edits depending on the actions your role allows.

Scheduled

Scheduled content has a publish date and time. ScoutSocial publishes it automatically when the time arrives. You can:

  • See upcoming posts sorted by date
  • Reschedule or cancel scheduling (content can return to Draft or Approved depending on your workflow)
  • See which platform and account each item targets

Posted

The Posted tab lists published content. You can:

  • Review what went live and when
  • Check status and errors for failed publishes
  • Open a posted item's inline Analytics (post insights) for performance data

Manage Sources

Click the gear/settings icon on the Inbox tab to open the Manage Sources dialog. There you configure where Inbox articles come from.

The dialog header summarizes how many sources you have and how many are active. Use Discover to find suggested feeds, or + New Source to add one manually. Each row shows the source name, type (for example RSS), Active status, the feed URL, and when it was last checked (for example “Checked 2h ago”) so you can see that polling is working. On each row you can toggle the source on or off, run a one-off fetch (download icon) , and open the menu for notifications, Preview Feed, Edit, and Delete.

Sources list

  • Select rows with checkboxes; when one or more are selected, a Delete button appears to remove the selected sources. To pull new articles from a single source, use the one-off fetch (download icon) on that row.
  • Export OPML / Import OPML at the bottom back up or restore feed lists in bulk

Add or edit a source

When you add a source, you provide a name and the URL (an RSS feed or a web page). ScoutSocial validates the feed and then checks it for new items automatically on a regular schedule.

Filters apply across the My Posts views where relevant:

  • Platform - Limit to one network or all
  • Account - Limit to a connected account
  • Date range - Narrow by creation or schedule time where available
  • Search - Text search over titles and body copy

Bulk actions

Select multiple items with checkboxes to run bulk operations where supported (for example bulk schedule, delete, move between stages, or approve when your plan includes those actions).

Content editing

Open any row to expand it, read the full text, change platform or account, and use actions such as templates, evergreen settings, approve, schedule, or post.

Tips

  • Use the Inbox as your idea funnel: add RSS or web sources in Manage Sources so fresh items arrive automatically.
  • If your team uses approvals, keep Draft for work in progress and use Approved as the handoff queue before scheduling.
  • Schedule in batches with bulk actions when you have many drafts or approved items ready to go.
  • Check Posted for failed publishes and retry after fixing the underlying issue.
